This is a response to RGT85 and his The Problem with Retro Gaming in 2023 video. As someone who's been a part of the retro gaming community for a while now, I've noticed a few issues that can be frustrating. Firstly, the prices of retro games can be intimidating for new collectors. Although supply and demand plays a role, I don't believe that prices will ever come back down to what they were before. Secondly, the lack of standards and insider deals when it comes to game grading can artificially inflate prices, leading to frustration for those who just want to collect games without feeling like they're getting ripped off. Lastly, there can be a bit of elitism and snobbery in the retro gaming community, which can be discouraging for new collectors to feel like they aren't "real" retro gamers until they've amassed a certain collection or level of knowledge.
